The Revi Bikes Cheetah is a fat tire e-bike with motorcycle-inspired café racer styling, built for riders who want a comfortable, powerful cruiser for city streets, beach paths, and light off-road. Here's what to know as you decide whether it fits how you ride.
Power and range. The Cheetah runs a 48V 750W Bafang motor — that's the continuous output, the number that reflects real-world performance, with up to 1200W available in short peaks for hills and quick starts. A 750W motor comfortably carries most adult riders up moderate inclines and to a relaxed cruising pace without strain. The 48V 17.5Ah Samsung battery holds about 840 watt-hours, which translates to up to 60 miles per charge. Real range depends on how much you pedal, rider weight, terrain, and which pedal-assist level you use — expect closer to the lower end if you ride mostly on throttle, and toward 60 miles with steady pedal assist. A full recharge takes 4–6 hours.
How the power delivers. The Cheetah uses a cadence sensor with a twist throttle. The cadence sensor adds motor power when it detects you pedaling, and the twist throttle gives you power on demand without pedaling at all — useful for pulling away from stops or cruising. This is a more relaxed, intuitive feel than a torque-sensor system, and it suits the Cheetah's laid-back cruiser character. Pedal assist offers 5–9 levels so you can dial in how much help you want.
Ride comfort and handling. The 26" x 4.0" Kenda fat tires are the defining comfort feature: the wide, lower-pressure tires absorb bumps, add grip on sand, gravel, and wet pavement, and give a planted, stable feel. Combined with the long leather saddle and swept-back cruiser geometry, the riding position is upright and easy on the back and wrists — built for comfort over distance rather than aggressive, leaned-forward speed. Stopping and drivetrain. Front and rear Bengal hydraulic disc brakes with 180mm rotors provide strong, consistent stopping power — important on a heavier fat tire bike, and a meaningful upgrade over the mechanical brakes found on cheaper e-bikes. The Shimano 7-speed drivetrain with a KMC anti-rust chain lets you keep a comfortable pedaling cadence as terrain and speed change.
Riding class and where you can ride. The full-color display lets you select Class 1, 2, or 3 riding modes, so you can set the bike to match your local e-bike laws — for example, choosing a pedal-assist-only mode for bike paths that restrict throttle use. Safety and capacity. The Cheetah is certified to UL 2849 (full e-bike electrical system) and UL 2271 (battery) — the two standards that matter most for e-bike fire safety, and increasingly required by apartment buildings and some municipalities.
