Backorder Policy

If you place an order for a product listed as Back-Ordered, our protocol is to process your payment at the time the order is placed. This ensures your position in the fulfillment queue and prevents delays that can occur if payment information changes or authorizations expire during the waiting period.

By processing payments upfront, we are able to:

  • Secure Your Inventory: Immediately lock in your order with the manufacturer.

  • Enhance Security: Ensure all transactions are cleared through our secure processors, protecting your sensitive data from being stored for delayed billing.

  • Maintain Competitive Pricing: Reduce administrative costs, allowing us to keep our prices as low as possible for our customers.

While You Wait

If you have placed a back-order and wish to modify it, you have the following options:

  • Switch Your Order: You may browse comparable products on our site. To modify an order, please place a new order for the in-stock item and contact us immediately to refund your original back-order.

  • Cancellation: If your order has not yet shipped, we can provide a full refund after confirming the cancellation status with the manufacturer. Please email info@vortexcycles.bike with your request.

  • Refund Timing: Please allow approximately four (4) business days for your financial institution to post the credit to your account.

Important Note on Timelines

Unless we receive written notice of a cancellation or modification via email, we will maintain your active order and continue working diligently with the manufacturer to fulfill it. Please note that all ETAs are subject to change. As an Authorized Dealer, VortexCycles facilitates the order and shipping process, but we do not control the manufacturing or shipping timelines of the brands we represent.

Please note, that unless we are advised by you in a written email reply indicating either of the above two options prior to shipment, we will assume that you want to keep your present order in place until the product is available to ship (requiring no post-order response from you). We will continue to diligently work on your behalf with the manufacturer to fulfill your order as soon as possible and advise on freight and tracking information when it is made available to us.
